IfA is a private US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose primary mission is to raise money for the US-based Africare organization. Africare’s coverage is among the widest and deepest of any organization working in Africa, representing over 2,500 projects in 36 countries Africa-wide. Africare is a leader in development assistance and humanitarian aid to Africa, as well as the oldest and largest African-American led organization in the field. Since its founding in 1970, Africare has delivered more than 1 billion in assistance to millions of beneficiaries across the continent.
IfA is building relationships and logistics networks on the ground in West Africare in an effort to create and advance local malaria education and eradication programs. To strengthen this effort, IfA is working with US-based companies to provide mosquito nets and other non-perishable items as part of a grassroots organization whose mission is to reduce and eliminate the mortality rate of malaria in sub-Saharan Africa.
